Why did Bahçeli meet with Erdoğan? What is happening in the Sinan Ateş murder and Ayhan Bora Kaplan cases?

Following the completion of the indictment in the Sinan Ateş murder case, the emergence of footage showing the vehicle used to spirit away the hitman, along with statements from fugitive Serdar Sertçelik—who is being tried on allegations of being the number two in the Ayhan Bora Kaplan organization—have become a major topic of discussion. Democratic Party Deputy Chairman Cemal Enginyurt commented on the matter.

Why did Bahçeli meet with Erdoğan? What is happening in the Sinan Ateş murder and Ayhan Bora Kaplan cases?

Democratic Party Deputy Chairman Cemal Enginyurt commented on the emergence of footage showing the vehicle used to spirit away the hitman in the case of former Idealist Hearths (Ülkü Ocakları) President Sinan Ateş, who was assassinated in Ankara, and the "secret witness" allegations in the Ayhan Bora Kaplan case.

Enginyurt stated, "On the day the indictment for the Sinan Ateş murder was first released, I read it and thought there was nothing there; we considered it an empty indictment. How can a so-called secret witness in the Ayhan Bora Kaplan case flee abroad? The electronic ankle monitor starts beeping. Shouldn't it have beeped when the person was crossing into Greece? This secret witness is making statements after having already left."

HASAN DOĞAN AND BEKİR BOZDAĞ

Enginyurt continued his remarks as follows:

Who is Hasan Doğan? He is the Chief of Staff whom the President trusts and sees as the most loyal. Bekir Bozdağ, whom the President trusts and values, and Süleyman Soylu. This secret witness says that he was told by certain people in the Ankara Police Department; he gave the names of Hasan Doğan, Bekir Bozdağ, and Süleyman Soylu. What kind of a country are we living in? A former minister, Soylu, is being accused by a gang member—at the behest of whom? By the Ankara Police. The Police Chief was kept out of it; is it possible for the Police Chief not to know this? Someone is setting such a trap, such a plan right now. There is both chaos within the AKP and a game being played against the MHP.

"THOSE DRAGGING THE MHP IN ARE THE SAME FORCES"

There is a very serious game being played against the MHP right now. The MHP members have realized this game. I think Devlet Bahçeli went to Erdoğan to thwart this game.

It is reaching the point where it is being suggested that the MHP Headquarters committed the murder. Who prepared this? Whoever threw this in front of us, ask them. These photos are not in the indictment. Whoever was waiting for an opportunity to fill the indictment one day after its release, whoever is accusing the MHP and putting it in their crosshairs, that is the enemy of the MHP.

Regarding the incident with Ayhan Bora Kaplan; because Ayhan Bora Kaplan is in prison, but they are trying to drag Hasan Doğan and Bekir Bozdağ into it. Bekir Bozdağ and Hasan Doğan have never even seen Ayhan Bora Kaplan in their lives, but if a Deputy Police Chief in the Ankara Police Department is giving the names of the highest-level people in the state, then those dragging the MHP into this are the same forces.

"INSTEAD OF INSULTING JOURNALISTS..."

The Sinan Ateş murder must be clarified. I especially ask the Idealists (Ülkücüler), instead of insulting journalists, they should go and deal with whoever leaked those cars in the file to the press."

WHAT HAPPENED?

Fugitive Serdar Sertçelik, who is being tried on allegations of being the number two in the Ayhan Bora Kaplan organization, stated that he was a secret witness in the case. Speaking to journalist Erk Acarer, Sertçelik claimed that he became a "secret witness" under pressure from police officers affiliated with the Ankara Police Department and that he was directed by the police regarding the content of his secret witness testimony. Sertçelik alleged that he was forced by the police to provide the names of AKP officials in an additional statement.

In his allegations, Sertçelik stated, "They were going to create a secret witness one way or another, that was clear. I accepted it. To save myself and my family, to prevent the files that were going to be dumped on me and my brother. Later on, they themselves created a 19-page secret witness statement with pressures and threats, without my will in any way, saying 'Shall we put this name in? Let's put it in. Did this event happen like this? It did.'"

"All those names that were included are in the first statement. Everyone will be surprised when you hear the names I will mention in my next statement," said Sertçelik, adding, "'Bekir Bozdağ, Mücahit Aslan, Abdülhamit Gül, Fahrettin Koca, Sadık Soylu... a template will be created regarding these names. We will sit down and talk about these face-to-face. You will add these to your secret witness testimony as well,' I was told."

"How can I save myself when these individuals are added? I am trying to understand how I can do these things under the power of the AK Party when I use the names of these individuals. Because there is a war going on in the middle, within themselves. I cannot understand what is happening," he said.

In his claims of a conspiracy, Sertçelik reiterated that a coup was being staged against the AKP through the Police by providing the names of Abdülhamit Gül, Bekir Bozdağ, Hasan Doğan, Mücahit Aslan, Bilal Aslan, and Fahrettin Koca.
