Will he meet with Meral Akşener? Özgür Özel explains

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel and İYİ Party Chair Meral Akşener were alleged to be holding a meeting on Wednesday.

While denying the claims, Özel used the words "There is no such thing; I was surprised when I heard it too." regarding the meeting in question.

On the other hand, it was learned that Akşener called Özel on Sunday to say "Congratulations."

Akşener, whose stance on alliances was a subject of curiosity following the change in the CHP, had said, "From now on, we will not vouch for anyone other than ourselves. Even if you wanted to, I would not. We will dismantle both the politics of personal ambition and the interest-based relationships packaged as alliances, one by one. This is the reason for our stubbornness that led us to establish our İYİ Party, that made us travel the country street by street, and that forbade us from standing still."

Sözcü TV Ankara Representative Saygı Öztürk had reported that İYİ Party Chair Meral Akşener and newly elected CHP Chairman Özgür Özel would meet in Ankara. Öztürk had claimed that Özel would visit Akşener and that this visit would likely take place on Wednesday.
