Yeniden Refah Party Chairman Fatih Erbakan: 'We have surpassed the MHP, now it's the IYI Party's turn'

Yeniden Refah Party Chairman Fatih Erbakan spoke at his party's rally in the Geyve district of Sakarya, 5 days before the local elections. Fatih Erbakan said, "We have exceeded 500 thousand members across Turkey. We have surpassed the MHP in terms of membership numbers. Now there is the IYI Party with 508 thousand; before the elections arrive, we will also surpass the IYI Party and enter the elections as Turkey's 3rd largest political party in terms of membership numbers.”

Yeniden Refah Party Chairman Fatih Erbakan met with citizens at a rally he organized in the square of the Geyve district. Addressing the citizens at the rally, which he attended alongside his party's mayoral candidates, Erbakan stated that the National View (Milli Görüş) and Yeniden Refah would rise once again in Turkey.

Erbakan stated that they have reached the 500 thousand member target they had aimed for for a long time, just days before the election.

Stating that his party's membership count is over 500 thousand, Erbakan said that they have passed the MHP and that they want to pass the IYI Party as well to enter the elections as the 3rd party with the highest number of members in the country.

''WE WILL ALSO REACH THE 1 MILLION MEMBER TARGET''

Yeniden Refah Party Chairman Fatih Erbakan said, “We will put an end to the era of rent-seeking municipalism. Hopefully, we will have started the era of ethical municipalism. Our nation is tired and fed up with rent-seeking municipalism. Our nation wants change; it wants justice in administration. It wants a municipal understanding that acts with the 'nation first' principle. The way to reach that era of ethical, honest, sincere, fair, compassionate, hardworking, and determined municipalism is to vote for the Yeniden Refah Party, which is the representative of that spirit. Our nation knows this very well. That is why they are flocking to our Yeniden Refah Party. As of Sunday, just one week before the elections, we have exceeded 500 thousand members across Turkey, thank God. We were saying we would reach 500 thousand by the elections. One week before the elections, it reached 500 thousand. We have surpassed the MHP in terms of membership numbers. Now there is the IYI Party with 508 thousand; within a few days, before the elections arrive, we will also surpass the IYI Party and enter the elections as Turkey's 3rd largest political party in terms of membership numbers. After that, we will also reach the one million target. Because we are gaining 70 thousand members per month. This means that within a few months after the election, we will reach one million. First, we will be in local governments on March 31, and then we will come to power in 2028, God willing.”

Criticizing the government, Erbakan said, “What needs to be done is what we wrote in the memorandum of understanding on May 14: you will create a balanced budget, you will save this money from the interest monster. If you don't create a balanced budget, you continue to borrow, and as you borrow, you cannot get rid of this interest. You will cut the hoses that transfer resources to privileged holdings, you will prevent waste in the public sector, and you will generate resources with the steps in the national resource packages book written by our Yeniden Refah Party. With this, you will increase the purchasing power and welfare level of the nation.

We said, 'Create a balanced budget, prevent waste, cut the hoses that transfer resources to the privileged so that we don't have to borrow, and thus get rid of this interest,' but they did not listen. Seeing this picture, the nation is running to Yeniden Refah, to the National View. Look, our nation is saying Yeniden Refah in droves. In about six months, our membership number has increased from 260 thousand to 500 thousand. This is something that has not been granted to any other political party. The Yeniden Refah Party grew by nearly 100 percent in six months. The Yeniden Refah Party has become Turkey's fastest-growing political party. Why?
