Yerlikaya responds to 'İmamoğlu posters' question! He did not take responsibility
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya gave a brief response to a question regarding the removal of Ekrem İmamoğlu's posters.
CHP Muğla Deputy Cumhur Uzun submitted a parliamentary question to Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya regarding the removal of posters of imprisoned presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.
According to a report by Cumhuriyet, Uzun recalled the cancellation of İmamoğlu's 31-year-old diploma and his subsequent arrest on March 24, 2025, as part of an investigation, after which he was sent to Silivri Prison.
Following these developments, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya responded to Uzun's motion, stating, "It has been assessed that the written parliamentary questions do not fall within the scope of our ministry's duties and responsibilities."
