Youths detained for chanting 'Erdoğan without a diploma'
In Istanbul, youths who chanted "Erdoğan without a diploma" targeting President and AKP Chairman Erdoğan were detained and taken to the Counter-Terrorism Branch for questioning.
According to information obtained, youths living in Istanbul chanted "Erdoğan without a diploma" while walking on the street. Following the sharing of those moments on social media, proceedings were initiated against the youths who chanted the slogan and the person who shared the post on charges of "insulting the President."

It was learned that the suspects were detained and taken to the Istanbul Police Department's Counter-Terrorism Branch to have their statements taken.
The detained youths were told that the "Erdoğan without a diploma" slogan contained insults, and they were asked why they had chanted it. The youths stated that they had not committed any crime.
The detention process for the youths is ongoing.
