In a post on his X account, Ümit Özdağ stated, "Zafer Party founding provincial chairman for Gaziantep and parliamentary candidate Mehmet Pamuk was wounded in an armed attack in front of his hotel in Gaziantep, where he had returned after attending a 2-day political strategic communication program at the Zafer Party Headquarters in Ankara, and has been hospitalized. A delegation led by our Deputy Chairman Seyit Yücel is en route to Gaziantep. I extend my best wishes for a speedy recovery to my dear brother Mehmet and all Zafer Party members. Attacks cannot intimidate the Zafer Party."
