25 percent hike in drug prices
The euro exchange rate used for drug pricing has been updated. A 25 percent increase was applied to the rate.
The Presidential Decree foreseeing an amendment to the Decision on the Pricing of Medicinal Products for Human Use has been published in the Official Gazette.
With the decision, the current euro value has been increased by 25 percent to 17 lira and 55 kurus. The current euro value was previously applied as 14 lira.
With the decision, the threshold value applied to price-protected products was also updated by the same amount as the increase in the euro exchange rate. The threshold value became 60 lira and 51 kurus for price-protected products, and 31 lira and 62 kurus for other products.
The decision in question will enter into force as of December 25, 2023.
