Corruption Investigation by YÖK into Solar Power Plant Project
The Council of Higher Education (YÖK) has launched an official investigation into alleged irregularities regarding a solar power plant project carried out at Gaziantep University.
Following complaints regarding financial and administrative irregularities in Gaziantep University's solar power plant project, the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) has taken action. Within the scope of the investigation, it is alleged that the project was implemented without a tender process. Claims that financial decisions regarding the project were not transparent and that public loss occurred are also among the allegations.

Within the framework of the investigation initiated by YÖK, it has been learned that members who served on the university's previous administrative board and who had signatures on the relevant decisions will be summoned to provide statements as "suspects." There is curiosity regarding how the process concerning the power plant project will proceed and how the alleged financial losses might be recovered.
