Deadline approaching for renewing old driver's licenses
October 31 is the final date for those wishing to renew their old-style driver's licenses. While the renewal fee is 15 lira until this date, starting November 1, a fee of 7 thousand 438 lira and 60 kuruş will be charged for Class B licenses.
The period determined for those wishing to renew their old-style driver's licenses ends on October 31. While it is sufficient to pay only 15 lira for the renewal process until this date, the renewal fee for a Class B license will rise to 7 thousand 438 lira and 60 kuruş starting November 1.
Additionally, holders of old-style A, A1, A2, and F class licenses will pay a total of 3 thousand 643 lira and 10 kuruş, including fees for the document, valuable paper, and foundation service. Holders of B1, BE, C1, C1E, C, CE, D1, D1E, D, DE, G, and M class licenses will be required to pay 11 thousand 235 lira and 60 kuruş.
Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya warned more than 1 million 900 thousand people who still use old-style driver's licenses to complete their renewal procedures. Minister Yerlikaya stated that the renewal period will not be extended again and emphasized that citizens need to act more quickly on this matter.
