Erdoğan signs decree: 78 colonels and generals reassigned
With a decree signed by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, promotions and reassignments were made within the Gendarmerie and Coast Guard Commands. While 78 generals and colonels were reassigned, numerous individuals were promoted to the next rank.
New appointment and promotion decisions were made for many individuals within the Gendarmerie General Command and the Coast Guard Command through a Presidential Decree published in the Official Gazette.
In accordance with the decision bearing the signature of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, 1 major general, 5 brigadier generals, and 15 senior gendarmerie colonels serving in the Gendarmerie General Command were promoted to the next rank. Within the scope of the same decision, the duty stations of 78 generals and colonels were changed.
Significant promotions and appointments also took place in the Coast Guard Command. While 2 rear admirals and 3 colonels within the institution were promoted to higher ranks, the duty stations of 6 admirals were changed.
