HAVE THE DECEMBER FAMILY SUPPORT PAYMENTS BEEN DEPOSITED?

December family support payments began to be deposited into the accounts of beneficiaries as of December 10. In a written statement, Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş stated that a total of 3.6 billion lira in support would be provided to households in need this month under the Turkey Family Support Program. In her statement, Göktaş said, "We continue to support households in need with our social service approach that leaves no one behind. The Turkey Family Support Program is currently our most comprehensive social assistance application." She also stated that regular monthly support is provided to households in need within the framework of the Family Support Program. Minister Göktaş announced that a total of 106.8 billion lira in support has been provided to date, and that this amount will increase by another 3.6 billion lira with this month's payments. She added, "We are determined to stand by households and continue to increase our support."

WILL FAMILY SUPPORT PAYMENTS CONTINUE?

The Turkey Family Support Program, which was launched in 2022 with the approval of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, is expected to end after the payment to be made in January. No official statement has been made yet regarding the extension of the program. A total of 106.8 billion lira has been paid out to date.

HOW MUCH ARE THE FAMILY SUPPORT PAYMENTS?

Applications made to the Family Support Program will be evaluated by taking into account the household's income level and socioeconomic profile. Social assistance will be provided to applications deemed eligible. Applications will be reviewed by Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundations, and support will be provided under Law No. 3294. The aid amounts will be determined according to the established criteria.

Households with an income of 450 TL and below: 1,250 TL

Households with an income above 450 TL and up to 911.15 TL: 1,100 TL

Households with an income above 911.15 TL and up to 1,372.30 TL: 950 TL

Households with an income above 1,372.30 TL and less than 2,835.60 TL: 850 TL

Following the eligibility assessment, support payments will be transferred to the accounts of the beneficiaries.
