LGS exam dates announced
Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin has announced the date for the 2024 High School Transition System (LGS) exam.
Minister Tekin announced that the LGS centralized exam will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024.
Stating that the 2023-2024 academic year will conclude on June 14 with the distribution of report cards, Minister Tekin noted that Saturday, June 5, is the eve of Eid al-Adha. In this context, it was confirmed that the LGS centralized exam will take place two weeks before the end of the school year.
TEKIN PROVIDED INFORMATION REGARDING THE EXAM SCHEDULE
Reporting that the date for the centralized exam within the scope of LGS to be held in 2024 has been set for Sunday, June 2, Tekin stated the following:
"With this decision, we wanted our students to take the exam before the holiday, and more importantly, we wanted our students and parents to be more at ease mentally while making both holiday preparations and summer vacation plans. I would like it to be known that there will be no changes to the number of questions or the format of the LGS exam to be held on June 2. Furthermore, all questions will be prepared in accordance with the exam schedule, based on the subjects and learning outcomes included in the eighth-grade curriculum."
