Payment date for civil servant and retiree salary differentials awaited

With the 18.61 percent salary increase that civil servants and civil servant retirees will receive in the first half of 2026, the date on which the salary differential for the first 14 days of January will be paid remains a topic of interest.

Following the salary increases made regularly every year in January and July, salaries are paid at the new rate starting from the 15th of the month, and a differential payment is made for the first days of the previous period.

Civil servant salaries are deposited into accounts on the 15th of every month.

However, since raises are applied twice a year, in January and July, a salary differential arises for the days prior to this date. This differential for the period between January 1st and 14th is paid separately to civil servants who were working or retired during this time.

These salary differentials, which can be collected via banks, PTT branches, and ATMs, are expected to be paid on the designated day. Beneficiaries can easily withdraw their salary differentials from their accounts.

The differential payment for civil servants and civil servant retirees is projected to be deposited on January 15th, which coincides with the regular payday. However, if the payments do not occur on this date, they are expected to be transferred to accounts shortly thereafter.
