Presidential circular on the 'Protection and Strengthening of the Family'

According to the circular, the "Vision Document and Action Plan for the Protection and Strengthening of the Family (2024-2028)" has been prepared under the coordination of the Ministry of Family and Social Services.

The Coordination Board for the Protection and Strengthening of the Family has been established for the effective implementation and monitoring of the Vision Document and Action Plan.

The board, chaired by Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, is composed of the Ministers of Justice, Interior, National Education, and Health; the President of Religious Affairs; relevant deputy ministers from the Ministries of Labor and Social Security, Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Foreign Affairs, Energy and Natural Resources, Youth and Sports, Treasury and Finance, Culture and Tourism, National Defense, Industry and Technology, Agriculture and Forestry, Trade, and Transport and Infrastructure; as well as high-level representatives authorized to make decisions from the Presidency of Strategy and Budget, the Human Rights and Equality Institution of Turkey, the Social Security Institution, the Turkish Employment Agency, the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation, and the Union of Municipalities of Turkey.

The board will be able to form working groups with the participation of relevant representatives and experts to conduct studies aimed at identifying problems related to the family and developing solution proposals.

An "Annual Activity Plan for the Protection and Strengthening of the Family" will be prepared under the coordination of the Ministry of Family and Social Services to ensure the implementation and monitoring of the Vision Document and Action Plan. In order to increase its effectiveness at the local level, a "Provincial Coordination Board for the Protection and Strengthening of the Family" will be established in all provinces.

In this context, a "Provincial Action Plan for the Protection and Strengthening of the Family" and a "Provincial Annual Activity Plan for the Protection and Strengthening of the Family" will be prepared under the auspices of the governorships and the coordination of the provincial directorates of family and social services.
