Visa exemption for Iraqi citizens published in the Official Gazette
A Presidential Decree regarding the provision of visa exemption for citizens of the Republic of Iraq holding ordinary passports who are under 15 and over 50 years of age has been published in the Official Gazette.
According to the Presidential Decree published with the signature of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, citizens of the Republic of Iraq holding ordinary passports who are under 15 and over 50 years of age will be exempt from visas for tourist travel and transit passages to Turkey with a maximum stay of 90 days within a 180-day period.
The exemption decision, which will begin to be implemented on September 1, was taken in accordance with Article 18 of the Law on Foreigners and International Protection No. 6458.
