Google's billion-dollar campus struggles with Wi-Fi issues: Employees forced to use ethernet cables!
The Bay View campus, which Google opened in 2022 and touted as a "green technology marvel," has come to the fore with Wi-Fi connectivity problems. According to a Reuters report, employees working in the new building on the campus have been struggling to connect to Wi-Fi for days. It is stated that some Google employees have had to plug ethernet cables into their computers to resolve the issue.
Google's Bay View building, which became operational in 2022, had drawn attention with its technological innovations. However, according to recent reports, the building is experiencing Wi-Fi issues.
OLD TECHNOLOGY AS A SOLUTION
According to Reuters, because Wi-Fi connections in the new building on the campus are problematic, Google employees are plugging ethernet cables into their computers to resolve the situation.
Google had mandated that employees return to the office three days a week following the pandemic, but due to internet problems at the Bay View campus, managers are directing employees to areas with better Wi-Fi connectivity.
The Bay View building was not only designed with a unique layout but was also built as an open-concept space. A 229-page book was even written about the building, which was constructed using eco-friendly technologies such as solar energy, geothermal energy, and rainwater harvesting systems.
