Instagram is bringing automatic translation to Reels!

Instagram is working on a feature that could delight those who struggle with language barriers while watching Reels videos. This feature, the details of which are not yet clear, will be able to automatically translate text and audio in videos.

In December, TikTok, which became the world's most downloaded app by surpassing TikTok, continues to add new features to its popular short-video tool, Reels. Information that has now emerged could be quite useful for those who have difficulty understanding Reels videos.

The new accessibility feature was spotted by Alessandro Paluzzi, who is known for his work in app development. It is stated that Instagram may bring automatic translation to text and audio in videos.

According to the shared screenshot, it appears that a translation feature will be added to Reels videos. The feature will bring automatic translation not only to text in videos but also to audio. In the screenshot, "Show translated text and audio in eligible Reels videos in other languages" expressions stand out.

Paluzzi discovered a similar feature last week, and it now seems almost certain that Instagram is working on it. The screenshot from last week included a section called "Translate Audio" and audio recordings. Although details are not yet clear, it has been suggested that the audio translations could be AI-powered dubbing.

The automatic translation feature is currently in the development stage, and there is no information yet on when it will be released.
