Long-awaited feature arrives on YouTube!

YouTube, the world's most popular video and streaming platform, has implemented a long-requested innovation. By further developing its AI-powered automatic dubbing feature, it has made it available to hundreds of thousands of information and education-focused channels included in the Partner Program. The company announced that this feature will become active in different content categories in the near future.

WHICH LANGUAGES WILL HAVE DUBBING?

With the new feature, videos uploaded in English can be translated into French, German, Hindi, Italian, Spanish, Indonesian, Japanese, and Portuguese. However, if a video is prepared in one of these languages, only an English dubbing option is offered. The dubbing, which is automatically generated during the upload phase, can be previewed and checked by content creators before publication, and can be deleted or removed if desired.

The company acknowledged that the AI-generated dubbing does not currently offer a completely natural experience. However, it promised that with future updates, the dubbing will reflect tone, emotion, and ambient sounds more accurately. As an example of this process, YouTube shared an English-dubbed version of a French recipe video with users.
