This new feature is built on the foundation of Wrapped, which uses Spotify's music data to recommend new music and summarize your listening history. However, the purpose of Song Psychic is not to look at your listening history, but to discover new songs by asking questions to a 'psychic,' leveraging Spotify's understanding of music and song titles.

To use this feature, you can visit spotify.com/songpsychic from your mobile device and scan the QR code on the website.

After opening the new feature, you can choose from various categories such as School, Friends and Family, Love, Career, Life's Greatest Mysteries, My Future, Myself, and Lunch. And yes, you heard that right; if you are wondering what to have for lunch, the Song Psychic feature can meet your needs.

The Song Psychic feature presents you with a series of pre-filled questions that you can tap to get an answer in each section. These include "Does my crush like me?", "Will I get a raise?", "Should I go to the prom?" and many more. If you wish, you can start typing your own question into the box provided, and the app will begin to offer other suggestions you might ask.

Once you enter your question, "Song Psychic" asks you to press your finger to the screen, and then mystical music greets you in the background before your answer appears in the form of a song.

Although Spotify does not promote this experience as AI-powered, it ultimately gives the feeling of asking questions to an all-knowing AI chatbot. However, the company states in its FAQ section that the answers are "completely randomly generated," meaning it does not use your personal data to reach conclusions.
