Quota removed: Istanbul residents to have unlimited internet
The quota limitation on the Wi-Fi service provided by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) has been completely removed.
The quota limitation on IBB WiFi, which provides internet access to Istanbul residents at 11,500 locations, has been removed.
The free internet network IBB Wi-Fi, offered by the IBB Department of Information Technology and the IBB telecommunications infrastructure subsidiary İSTTELKOM, can now be used without any quota restrictions.
Across Istanbul, the service provides unlimited, free, secure, and fast internet at 11,500 access points in squares, parks, gardens, sports facilities, cultural centers, social facilities, universities, dormitories, nurseries, hospitals, public transport vehicles, and many other public areas, with a user base approaching 6 million.
Access to IBB Wi-Fi is provided through the 'İstanbul Senin' application.
