Tesla's AI investment to reach billions of dollars

Elon Musk has revealed the scale of Tesla's massive investment in artificial intelligence. While known for its electric vehicles, Tesla is also drawing attention for its significant investments in the field of AI. One of its largest projects in this area, a supercomputer named "Dojo," aims to make a significant contribution to the goal of fully autonomous vehicles.

Dojo is known as a supercomputer that performs machine learning through videos captured from vehicles. Introduced last year, Dojo drew attention with its highly advanced features. Elon Musk stated that their current investment in Dojo is 500 million dollars. However, Musk noted that this amount is not as high as one might think, explaining that it is equivalent to, for example, 10 thousand of Nvidia's H100 models.

Elon Musk also indicated that Tesla will spend far more than this amount on Nvidia hardware. He emphasized that billions of dollars must be invested in this field every year to remain competitive in artificial intelligence. Furthermore, he stated that Tesla would not be limited to Nvidia alone and could also use AMD chips. Musk expressed that a powerful hardware option from AMD's MI300 series could also be an option for Tesla.
