The list of the best-selling phones of all time is surprising

Although phones gain many new features every year, not every phone brings the expected sales to companies. While Samsung and Apple are the first names that come to mind when talking about industry leaders, is that the case for the best-selling phones of all time?

THE LIST IS SURPRISING

We can guess that you would name many models for the phones that rank high on the list of the best-selling phones of all time prepared by Visual Capitalist, but the models on the list likely date back further than you might expect.

At the top of the list is Nokia's legendary phone, the Nokia 1100. Released in 2003, the phone has been purchased by exactly 250 million people worldwide to date.

In second place on the list is the next model in the series, the Nokia 1110. The Nokia 1110 model also achieved sales success with 248 million units, a figure very close to its predecessor.

The third spot on the list is held by the standard 6 and Plus models of the iPhone 6 series, one of Apple's most important models which also gained great popularity in our country, with 222 million units sold. The 6S and 6S Plus models of the same series are in 5th place on the list with 174 million units sold.
