Turkey fails the test in artificial intelligence adoption
According to TurkStat data, the biggest challenges for businesses not using artificial intelligence are a lack of expertise and high costs. IAS aims to provide user-friendly solutions to businesses by accelerating the integration of artificial intelligence into ERP systems to eliminate these barriers.
According to 2024 data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), the vast majority of businesses in the country remain distant from artificial intelligence technologies. The data shows that only 8.4% of enterprises are considering using artificial intelligence. This rate stands at 7.8% for businesses with 10-49 employees, 10.8% for those with 50-249 employees, and 17.4% for those with 250 or more employees. This indicates that while businesses may be open to the idea of artificial intelligence, they face significant obstacles in implementation.
THE BIGGEST BARRIER: LACK OF EXPERTISE AND HIGH COSTS
When TurkStat asked businesses that do not use artificial intelligence for their reasons, it reported that the most common cause, at 78.9%, is a "lack of expertise." High costs follow in second place at 74.2%. Furthermore, 69.3% of respondents cite issues with incompatibility with existing systems and software as a reason.
Bahtiyar Tan, CTO of IAS Technology Group, states that this situation does not mean businesses are indifferent to technology:
"In reality, firms are interested in technology, but they face structural barriers they need to overcome. As IAS, we are working to solve these problems. With the solutions we develop, we aim to offer businesses easily accessible artificial intelligence technologies that do not require specialized expertise."
IAS INTEGRATES ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE INTO ERP
IAS is focused on integrating artificial intelligence into ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solutions, which are among the systems most widely used by businesses. Tan emphasizes that this integration is not just a technological update, but a transformation that provides businesses with a competitive advantage:
"With the artificial intelligence solutions we integrate into our ERP systems, businesses will be able to perform data analysis more effectively and save both time and costs by automating business processes."
