2025 FIFA Club World Cup begins quietly

The 2025 Club World Cup, organized by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), has begun in the USA.

The opening match of the tournament was played in Miami, where Egyptian side Al Ahly and US club Inter Miami drew 0-0 in their Group A encounter at Hard Rock Stadium.

In other matches today, Bayern Munich will face Auckland in Cincinnati in Group C, while PSG will take on Atletico Madrid in Los Angeles in Group B.

In the tournament, where 32 teams from 6 confederations are competing in 8 groups, the 16 teams that finish in the top two of their groups will advance to the round of 16.

The champion of the Club World Cup will be determined following the knockout-style final rounds.

The groups for the Club World Cup, where matches will be played in the cities of Atlanta, Charlotte, Cincinnati, New York, Miami, Nashville, Orlando, Pasadena, Philadelphia, Seattle, and Washington DC, are as follows:
