5 questions from Fenerbahçe to TFF President Mehmet Büyükekşi

Here is the statement from Fenerbahçe; 

Following the statement made to the public yesterday by Turkish Football Federation (TFF) President Mehmet Büyükekşi, 

we would like to ask him some simple questions regarding his decision to hold the TFF Ordinary Financial General Assembly as an elective one on July 18, 2024.

1-) Regarding the election decision you have taken, was there any sharing or exchange of views in the WhatsApp group where your TFF Board of Directors communicates before making the announcement to the public? How many of your Board members learned of this decision from the public?

 2-) Why do the statements you made yesterday around 17:00 not appear on the TFF's official website or official social media accounts?

 3-) In addition to our questions above, the question we consider most important is; is there an actual Board of Directors decision taken regarding your announcement of the Elective General Assembly that you shared with the public?

 4-) Are you aware that a General Assembly to be held on July 18 will create the risks and difficulties mentioned below for the new management to be elected and for Turkish football?

• Does this not mean that this chaotic environment will continue until that date? 

• Will the fact that referee classification assignments and the new season planning of the current TFF Committees are carried out by this same management not make things difficult for the incoming management?

• Is the determination of the 2024-2025 season transfer window league statutes, player eligibility, A-team list criteria, and club licensing and financial sustainability principles by the current management not a restriction on the work and room for maneuver of the new management to come?

5-) Do you intend to be a candidate in the Elective Financial General Assembly you announced will be held on July 18, 2024? If you have no intention of continuing, why did you make a General Assembly decision for 102 days from now?

 6-) While we assume you know this, we feel the need to make this reminder;

 As the Board of Directors, it is possible for you to call the TFF delegates to an extraordinary general assembly in as little as 22 days with a decision you take. 

In this way, our National Team could go to the European Football Championship with a new Board of Directors.

We request that you answer these questions we have directed to you as soon as possible in order to better inform the public.
