9 players to be cut from the National Team squad

The Turkish National Football Team, which will compete in the 2026 World Cup in the USA, is continuing its countdown in Riva. As the preparation process nears its end, there is great curiosity about which names will be dropped from the extended squad determined by head coach Vincenzo Montella.

The team will depart for America following the match against North Macedonia to be played in Istanbul on June 1. According to the rules set by FIFA for countries participating in the tournament, the final squad can include a maximum of 26 players (with at least 3 being goalkeepers). In this context, it has been finalized that 9 names from the current 35-man squad will not be taken to the tournament. The final squad will be announced on June 1.
