Acun Ilıcalı: We will strike it down

Fenerbahçe Vice President Acun Ilıcalı made statements during a program he attended on Beyaz TV.

"I SPOKE CONCRETELY"

Stating that he was proven right in his previous remarks, Acun Ilıcalı said, "I spoke concretely about what happened. I said, 'Do not bring up my cheating incident from high school, do not smear me.' What happens if you smear me personally? We did not get an answer, and I say this with regret, but three days had not passed before I was proven right. I said that a team was gaining meaningless advantages. Just yesterday, a red card was not issued to a team in the 10th minute. I already explained this! The Dries Mertens position."

"WE ARE WAITING TO SEE WHAT THEY WILL DO"

Stating that TFF President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu will do what is necessary regarding these issues, Acun Ilıcalı continued with these words:

"There are referees and observers embedded inside! I am not talking about the TFF President or the MHK President. The TFF President said he would do what is necessary when there is an error in VAR. We are waiting to see what they will do."

"I ASKED THE ENGLISH PGMOL CHIEF"

Stating that he had a meeting with the head of the English referees' association (PGMOL), Acun Ilıcalı said, "I called the head of the English referees' association and asked. I asked how they select these referees. The answer was, 'We ask the incoming referee which team they support, their residence, and if there are any fans of a team in their family or close circle. We ask these and assign matches accordingly.' There is no such system in Turkey! I am not saying something about all the referees. There are referees who are not influenced. Can a man who supports a team make the right decision about that team? If they are making 100% correct decisions, then they should assign local referees to European matches! Do they?" he said.

"WE WILL STRIKE THIS STRUCTURE DOWN"

Speaking about the structure in Turkish football, Acun Ilıcalı said, "Either the referees are provoking us to attack the TFF, or they are sabotaging the TFF President! They are doing something! We will strike this structure down," he stated.

"IT WILL BE SCRAPED FROM THE BOTTOM STEP BY STEP"

Stating that they trust TFF President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu, Acun Ilıcalı concluded his sentences with these words:

"We trust the TFF President; it will be scraped from the bottom step by step. Being a fan is one thing to me, you said other things. A structure whose cause we do not know is active, and we will scrape it from the bottom. 'We will strike it down' sounded very good to me, I swear."
