Adana Demirspor denied Italian visas: New training camp location announced

Adana Demirspor's training camp in Italy has been blocked by visa issues.

Continuing its preparations for the new season, Adana Demirspor was set to hold the first stage of its training camp in Bolu until July 22, and then travel to Italy between July 23 and August 1.

However, the club announced that it will hold its second training camp stage in Bolu as well, citing that visas for some players on the team were not issued.

The following statement was released by the blue-navy team:

"Despite preparing all necessary documents and receiving invitation letters from camp organizers as well as the Napoli and Bari football clubs, the Italian Consulate delayed the visa negotiations. Following this, after calls and emails from our Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vincenzo Montella—who previously worked at our club and is currently the head coach of our A National Football Team—the president of Napoli Football Club, and other officials, it was requested that the players, staff, and technical team of our squad, currently camping in Bolu, be sent to visa appointments in 3 different cities. Following this, in line with the decision of our head coach Michael Valkanis, we respectfully announce to the public that, for the sake of the continuity and quality of our A-team camp program, the second camp will continue in Bolu."
