Appeals of 86 footballers penalized for betting rejected

The Turkish Football Federation Arbitration Board convened to evaluate the appeals filed by footballers who were penalized due to betting activities. 

The applications, which requested the removal or reduction of the bans, were examined in detail by the board.

ALL APPEALS REJECTED UNANIMOUSLY

Following the deliberations, the board reached a decision regarding the files of the 86 penalized footballers. The appeals of all the players were rejected unanimously. Consequently, the existing bans remain in effect as they were.

BANS RANGING FROM 45 DAYS TO 12 MONTHS UPHELD

The footballers had previously been issued bans ranging from 45 days to 12 months on the grounds that they had engaged in betting. The appeals of the players who requested the removal of these penalties were not found to be justified by the members of the Arbitration Board, and the penalties were upheld.

REASONED DECISION SHARED

The board also included the reasoning for the decision. In the statement, it was expressed that there was "no inaccuracy in terms of proof, legal qualification, and the determination of the penalty" regarding the decisions taken concerning the penalized footballers.
