Arda Turan's Galatasaray move following Shakhtar Donetsk signing
Arda Turan has taken charge as the new head coach of Shakhtar Donetsk and drew attention by removing the "Only Galatasaray" phrase from his Instagram biography.
Shakhtar Donetsk, one of Ukraine's historic clubs, has appointed Arda Turan as its head coach. In a statement released by the club, it was announced that a contract has been signed with the 38-year-old Turan that will run until the summer of 2027. Arda Turan will serve as the 39th head coach in Shakhtar Donetsk's history.
Following Turan's start in his new role, a change he made to his social media account also became a topic of discussion. Turan, who had kept the phrase "Only Galatasaray" in his Instagram biography for many years, removed it and replaced it with the text "Arda Turan's official account | Shakhtar Manager".
