Aziz Yıldırım makes statements ahead of Fenerbahçe general assembly

Ahead of the extraordinary general assembly meeting to be held at Fenerbahçe on Saturday, October 25, former president Aziz Yıldırım shared his views on the club's financial situation and management powers. Yıldırım noted that he had previously expressed his thoughts on similar issues.

Yıldırım recalled that at the general assembly held on September 21, 2025, he opposed granting broad powers to the board of directors and stated that these powers should be classified and presented on a project-by-project basis. He noted that he had also shared these views with the community in writing.

Expressing similar thoughts at the High Council meeting on October 18, 2025, Yıldırım pointed to the general assemblies held by other clubs for similar powers as examples. The president and vice president pledged that the requested powers would be presented on a project basis with defined limits, and that an up-to-date audit report showing the club's financial situation would be presented to the general assembly.

Yıldırım said, "I am not an inspector; I am a soldier of Fenerbahçe. My desire is for Fenerbahçe's financial situation to be shared in all its details and for there to be transparency." He also emphasized that it is necessary to follow up on whether the promises and commitments made are fulfilled.

Finally, Yıldırım wished for the decisions to be taken at the general assembly to be beneficial for Fenerbahçe and conveyed his greetings and love to the community.
