Aziz Yıldırım speaks on Fenerbahçe's financial situation

Ahead of the upcoming presidential elections at Fenerbahçe, candidate Aziz Yıldırım shared his assessments regarding the club's financial structure. Yıldırım made important observations concerning the financial fair play limits imposed by UEFA and the club's debts.

Stating that he has been in contact with UEFA, Aziz Yıldırım expressed that the documents required for the club to obtain a license have not yet been completed. Regarding the matter, Yıldırım stated, "Our people have not yet submitted the document showing our situation to UEFA to obtain the license." He also conveyed that, according to information received from certain figures at UEFA, there are various violations, though the details have not been shared.

Regarding financial limits, Yıldırım emphasized that in its current state, the club can report income of up to 60 million euros, and if an amount exceeding this enters the club, the difference is not permitted to be used. At this point, the Fenerbahçe presidential candidate noted that the club injecting extra money could lead to punitive sanctions, while stating that income from player sales can be used within the limits. He underscored that in the event of repeated serious violations, various penalties, including point deductions, could come onto the agenda.

Speaking about the debts at the club, Yıldırım noted that the exact debt is not known, stating, "We do not know the debt exactly. We will only learn it once we get inside. We hear rumors. I will leave the debt exactly as I took it. You say they are paying off the debts, but with what are they paying them? They are paying them with the resources I created after 2001. They are not paying off debts by adding anything of their own."
