Bad news has arrived from the league administration for Barcelona, which has remained far from the title race in La Liga this season. As the salary limits that determine team spending were announced, Barcelona's limit was reduced.

In the statement made by La Liga, it was stated that Barcelona's new limit is 204 million Euros. Thus, the Catalan team's limit has fallen by 66 million Euros.

Barcelona's salary limit was announced as 648 million Euros last February.

VITOR ROQUE REGISTERED IN PLACE OF GAVI

Gavi, who has been unable to play for a long time due to a cruciate ligament injury, was not registered with La Liga by Barcelona.

In place of the Spanish player, Vitor Roque, who was signed earlier but joined the team during the mid-season transfer window, was registered.

According to league rules, a team can register another player in place of a player who has suffered a long-term injury of more than 4 months, provided that the new player's salary does not exceed 80 percent of the injured player's salary.
