According to a report by Sabah newspaper; as a result of the dedicated efforts of İsmail Kartal and his staff, it was reported that the player has decided to complete the season at Fenerbahçe.

The 30-year-old footballer, who lost his place especially in the league following Edin Dzeko's performance, wanted to leave with the national team in mind; however, the technical staff, believing they could not find a better striker than Batshuayi during the mid-season break, wanted the Belgian goalscorer to stay with the team.
