Beşiktaş Club visits Anıtkabir

The visit was attended by Beşiktaş Club President Hasan Arat, board members, members of the council and congress, associations, and a large number of fans.

The black-and-white delegation walked along the Lion Road to reach Atatürk's mausoleum. After Hasan Arat laid a wreath at the mausoleum, a moment of silence was observed.

Later, Hasan Arat moved to the Misak-ı Milli Tower and signed the Anıtkabir Special Book. Beşiktaş Club President Hasan Arat wrote the following in the book:

"Great Atatürk, founder of the Republic of Turkey... On the 100th anniversary of the founding of our Republic, we are happy to be in your presence together with Beşiktaş fans who have come from all corners of our country and the world. Today, together with thousands of our fans who rushed to Anıtkabir, we commemorate with mercy, gratitude, and eternal appreciation all our martyrs, veterans, and your comrades-in-arms who fought for our beloved homeland, as well as every member of our self-sacrificing nation who served our glorious army behind the front lines during the War of Independence and worked tirelessly for the growth and strengthening of our Republic. Today, at your eternal resting place, we once again pledge that our commitment to Atatürk's principles, values, ideals, and goals will continue forever. Every Beşiktaş member will work with effort and sincerity throughout their life to pass this valuable legacy on to future generations.

To protect and develop the unique homeland you entrusted to us and to elevate it above contemporary civilizations, the 120-year-old Beşiktaş community, with its glorious crescent-and-star emblem that it carries with pride and its ancient culture that draws its strength from history, will always be at the service of our state and nation. Our nation, which has succeeded in overcoming all kinds of difficulties throughout history, will draw its inspiration from you to reach its dreams and goals. Dear Atatürk, on behalf of every member of the Beşiktaş community, we offer you our eternal gratitude and appreciation. This nation will never forget you."
