Beşiktaş's new signing Joao Mario is arriving in Istanbul
Beşiktaş has begun negotiations to sign Portuguese midfielder Joao Mario. The Portuguese footballer is expected to be in Istanbul today.
Beşiktaş is preparing to add Joao Mario, who plays for the Portuguese league side Benfica, to its squad.
In a statement from the black-and-white club, it was stated that Joao Mario would be in Istanbul today for transfer negotiations.
The statement said, "Professional footballer Joao Mario is arriving in Istanbul to hold transfer negotiations with our club. The plane carrying Mario will be at Istanbul Airport International Terminal today at 17:50."
JOAO MARIO'S CAREER
Starting his football career in Porto's youth academy, Joao Mario has played for Sporting and Benfica in Portugal.
Mario transferred from Sporting to Inter in 2016 and subsequently played for West Ham United and Lokomotiv Moscow.
The 31-year-old footballer, who has appeared in 441 matches throughout his career, has recorded 61 goals and 84 assists in these games.
BEŞİKTAŞ'S 8TH SIGNING
Under the management of Giovanni van Bronckhorst, Beşiktaş has made its 8th signing of the season with Joao Mario.
The black-and-whites had previously added Ciro Immobile, Rafa Silva, Gabriel Paulista, Emirhan Topçu, Can Keleş, Felix Uduokhai, and Cher Ndour to their squad.
