A stroke of misfortune occurred in the 38th minute of the match played at BG Grup 4 Eylül Stadium. Sivasspor's Tolga Ciğerci and Ziya Erdal were both forced to leave the game due to injuries sustained at the same time.

Beşiktaş took the lead in the 43rd minute. Emirhan Topçu, left unmarked on a cross to the back post by Arthur Masuaku, found the net with a header to make the score 1-0.

The first half of the match concluded with the Black and Whites leading 1-0.

Beşiktaş was awarded a penalty in the 90+2nd minute of the match. The referee pointed to the penalty spot after the Black and Whites' young player Mustafa Hekimoğlu went down following a challenge by Azizbek Turgunboev.

Joao Mario stepped up to take the penalty, sending the ball into the net in the 90+3rd minute by sending the goalkeeper the wrong way, sealing the final score of the match: 2-0.

7-MATCH AWAY WINLESS STREAK ENDS

Ending their 7-match away winless streak in the league, Beşiktaş increased their points to 35 and climbed to 5th place, while Sivasspor, remaining at 23 points, finished the week in 15th place.

Next week in the league, Beşiktaş will host Trabzonspor at home, while Sivasspor will be the guest of Gaziantep FK.
