Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek and Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç met with Turkish Football Federation President Mehmet Büyükekşi in a meeting regarding whether the Super Cup match would be played.

While it was expected that they would head to the stadium after the meeting concluded, a new crisis emerged.

The yellow-red club announced that they would take the field for warm-ups in t-shirts featuring Atatürk's image. However, permission was not granted by Saudi officials. Dursun Özbek stated that they would not take the field if permission was not granted.

The Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe delegations are waiting for the final decision from their presidents at different hotels from where the meeting was held. The delegations have not yet set off for the stadium.

STATEMENT FROM GALATASARAY

Galatasaray Board Member and Secretary General Eray Yazgan stated, "The possibility of the match not being played is higher than the possibility of it being played. We are currently at the hotel."
