Cadillac selects Bottas and Perez for 2026 F1 season
Cadillac has announced Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez as its drivers for the 2026 Formula 1 season.
Cadillac has announced its driver lineup for the 2026 Formula 1 season. Finnish driver Valtteri Bottas and Mexican driver Sergio Perez have joined the American automotive brand's team. In his statement at the signing ceremony, Perez noted that being part of the Cadillac team opens a new and exciting chapter in his career. "From our first discussions, I felt the passion and determination behind this project," Perez said.
Bottas, for his part, expressed that he felt different emotions from the very beginning of his talks with Cadillac. "This is not just a racing project, but a long-term vision," he stated.
Cadillac, the luxury vehicle brand of General Motors, has previously participated in various motorsports such as NASCAR. Now, it will take its place in Formula 1 as the 11th team.
