Champions League semi-final first leg between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid ends in a draw

The excitement of the UEFA Champions League semi-final first legs began with the Bayern Munich vs. Real Madrid match. The German side, which eliminated Arsenal in the quarter-finals, hosted the Spanish team that knocked out the defending champions Manchester City at the Allianz Arena. 

In the match officiated by French referee Clement Turpin, Bayern found consecutive chances in the opening minutes. The visiting team found the goal in the 24th minute through Vinicius Junior. Meeting the ball from Toni Kroos's through pass, the Brazilian player sent the ball into the net to the left of goalkeeper Neuer. 

While the first half ended with this score, the hosts started the second half effectively. Leroy Sane equalized in the 53rd minute, and three minutes later, Bayern won a penalty after Musiala was brought down. English player Harry Kane sent the ball into the net, and the German team took the lead in the match.

In the 82nd minute of the match, which saw attacks from both sides, Rodrygo was brought down by a challenge from Kim Min-jae, and referee Turpin pointed to the penalty spot for the second time. Stepping up to the spot, Vinicius Junior scored his and his team's second goal. The match ended in a 2-2 draw.

The second leg of the tie will be played on Wednesday, May 8, at Real Madrid's home ground.
