Galatasaray Sportif A. Ş. Deputy Chairman Erden Timur appeared on the 343 Digital YouTube channel. Timur made statements regarding his 2-season tenure at Galatasaray.

ICARDI'S ARRIVAL WAS LUCK

"Icardi coming to Turkey was luck, it was fate. I spoke with Wanda about Icardi. The man earns 8 million Euros in net salary. We don't have such a chance. The player has to want Galatasaray for us to reach an agreement with his club (PSG) on a 50 percent salary split. Mauro was receiving offers back then too. We invited Wanda here. We took care of everything. We do the same for every transfer. That is what showing value is. Mertens had come for 1 year."

WE WERE MORE SUCCESSFUL LAST YEAR

"We were more successful in transfers last year. This year we had a spending limit problem. This year we focused on revenues. Our revenue reached nearly 6 billion plus liras. They say, 'It made a difference because of the Champions League.' They are constantly producing things to diminish the effort. 900 million came from the Champions League. 5.6 billion remained. We increased it from 1 billion to 5 billion in one year. There is no spending limit for the upcoming period. There is a spending limit problem, you cannot buy any player. We had to buy players without transfer fees. The player pool dropped from 100 to 5. That is why the transfers were delayed."

YOU COULD NOT BECOME CHAMPION DESPITE COMMITTING INJUSTICE
