Fenerbahçe, which is competing for the championship in the Süper Lig and looking to make additions to its squad during the winter transfer window, has announced a surprise departure.
The yellow-navy club has notified the Turkish Football Federation that Emir Ortakaya's contract has been terminated.
The young player went on loan to Westerlo at the beginning of the season and returned to Fenerbahçe during the mid-season break.
