Galatasaray Sports Club General Secretary Eray Yazgan has requested that a lawsuit be filed against Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç and Fenerbahçe Board Member Selahattin Baki for the crimes of "insult" and "threat."
Galatasaray Sports Club General Secretary Eray Yazgan has filed a criminal complaint against the president of the yellow-navy club, Ali Koç, and Board Member Selahattin Baki regarding the events that took place following the Galatasaray-Fenerbahçe derby in the 37th week of the Süper Lig.
In the criminal complaint petition submitted to the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office by his lawyer Metin Sinan Aslan, it was alleged that Ali Koç entered the stadium with a group accompanying him 70 minutes after the match.
The petition claimed that Koç entered the Fenerbahçe football team's locker room and provoked the players, leading them onto the pitch.
The petition further alleged that Ali Koç violated accreditation rules and that Koç and the individuals accompanying him physically assaulted several people, including Eray Yazgan, in an aggressive manner. It was noted that Yazgan was the high-level official responsible for stadium security, and that Koç threatened Yazgan by saying, "If you don't leave here, you will get beaten," despite having no authority to remove him from the pitch.
The petition also described that following this incident, Selahattin Baki swore at and insulted Yazgan, and it was requested that a lawsuit be filed against both Baki and Koç for the crimes of "insult" and "threat."
