Cutha and Ahmet Çelik win the 99th Gazi Race

The 99th running of the Gazi Race, the derby of Turkish horse racing held in honor of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk since 1927, took place today in Istanbul.

THE WINNER HAS BEEN DECIDED

The race, held at the Veliefendi Hippodrome, began at 17:15.

The winner of the 99th Gazi Race was Cutha, ridden by Ahmet Çelik.

HOW MUCH WILL THE WINNER EARN?

The first-place prize for the 99th Gazi Race was set at 30 million TL. In the race, 12 million TL will be awarded to the second-place finisher, 6 million TL to the third, 3 million TL to the fourth, and 1 million 500 thousand TL to the fifth.

AZİZ YILDIRIM AND ADALI MEET AT THE GAZI

Beşiktaş President and TJK President Serdal Adalı met at the hippodrome for the Gazi Race alongside former Fenerbahçe president Aziz Yıldırım and Fenerbahçe High Council Board President Şekip Mosturoğlu.

ATTENDANCE RECORD BROKEN

For the Gazi Race, one of the most important organizations in Turkish sports which has been held uninterrupted for 99 years, an attendance record was broken at the Veliefendi Hippodrome with 59,600 spectators.
