Galatasaray's Uruguayan footballer Lucas Torreira went to the police station to file a complaint after being punched in an attack in Beyoğlu. The attacker, who attempted to flee the scene, was apprehended by police teams in a taxi and taken into custody.

ATTACK AT THE EXIT OF A SHOPPING CENTER

The incident occurred in front of a shopping center in the Camiikebir neighborhood of Kasımpaşa, Beyoğlu. According to allegations, Lucas Torreira was subjected to a punch attack by an individual named Y.Y. after leaving a cafe. Upon reports from bystanders, police teams were dispatched to the area.

SUSPECT APPREHENDED IN A TAXI

The 32-year-old suspect, who was trying to flee the scene, was caught by police teams in a taxi he had boarded and was taken into custody. Investigations revealed that Y.Y. has a prior criminal record for "intentional injury."

It was learned that Torreira has filed a complaint against the attacker.

On the other hand, it was determined that the footballer's driver, E.S., also punched the suspect while trying to separate the parties during the incident.
