Dursun Özbek announces Galatasaray's end-of-season goal

Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek held a press conference at the hotel where they are staying before Galatasaray's Ziraat Turkish Cup semi-final match against Konyaspor.

President Özbek said, "We are going to play a semi-final match in Konya. These are single-leg ties, and our goal is, of course, to be champions in both competitions this year. Our preparations for that are complete. The match we will play today is also very important. In fact, the league also holds great importance. Because we are now approaching the end. There is a great struggle for those who will go to Europe, for championships, and for teams that will be relegated.

"ENTERING THE MOST INTENSE WEEKS OF THE LEAGUE"

Therefore, we are entering perhaps the most stressful and intense weeks of the league. Our goal is, of course, to achieve success in both competitions, but as I said a moment ago, we will play very difficult matches. There are 6 weeks left until the end of the league. If we continue our path in the cup, we have a match there as well. I want to make a call here to my fans, my general assembly members, my friends on the board of directors, my players, my technical staff, and everyone; these 6 weeks are the most important weeks of the league.

Everything can change in one or two matches. We saw an example of this on Sunday. They said Kayserispor was missing players, and they came. They took a point from Fenerbahçe and left. Now I want to draw attention to the importance of this. As I expressed in the call I will make from here, we need to go into every match with the atmosphere of a final. I want to give this message to all Galatasaray fans here. Nothing is over. Therefore, the league continues.
