Edin Dzeko reacts to the referee: It's shameful, I swear!

Fenerbahçe player Edin Dzeko made statements following their 4-1 victory over Pendikspor in the 29th week of the Süper Lig.

Complaining about the constant stoppages in play and the referee's decisions, Dzeko said, "I don't know how much of the first half was actually played. Do you have any idea? It's truly shameful, I swear. This isn't the first time it's happened. This situation is stressing us out too. It's not the first time we've seen this in our own stadium. The referees are allowing it. The game is played for 2 minutes, then stops for 5 minutes. It's played for another 2 minutes, then stops for 1 minute. In situations like this, our team ends up getting cards. We receive yellow cards in the first 15 minutes of every match. It's a really strange situation."

WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN AT LEAST 6-7 POINTS AHEAD OF GALATASARAY

Stating that referees do not act fairly in Galatasaray matches, Edin Dzeko said, "Under normal circumstances, I think we should have been at least 6-7 points ahead of Galatasaray, but we aren't. It's as if the referees forget their yellow cards in other matches. If we are going to say the title race is 50-50 equal, then the referees need to act 50-50 equally as well."
