Erden Timur responds to Fenerbahçe's TFF application: 'We want a transparent, proper cleansing'

Galatasaray Sportif A.Ş. Vice President Erden Timur made statements during the club's visit to Anıtkabir.

Timur said, "It is very proud for us. The energy here is tremendous. Our country needs unity, the exact opposite of polarization. The path drawn by Atatürk is always the path of unity. That path illuminates our future. As Galatasaray, we are always moving along this path. It is an honor to be here in the 100th year. Hopefully, for many more 100 years, people will not stray from this path."

FENERBAHÇE'S APPLICATION

Following his statements during the live broadcast, when reminded of Fenerbahçe's application to the TFF requesting an investigation into the allegations, Erden Timur replied, "It would not be right to change the agenda. Our goal is for there to be a truly transparent, proper cleansing. That is what we want. Hopefully, as a club, we will make an application under the leadership of our president. Hopefully, we will be the cause of something that will be a good cleansing for the sake of Turkish football. That is our wish."

WHAT HAPPENED?

Galatasaray Sportif A.Ş. Vice President Erden Timur had made statements about Fenerbahçe and Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç during a television program he attended. Timur had alleged that the VAR records of the Adana Demirspor - Fenerbahçe match were given to Ali Koç by the then-MHK President Lale Orta.

Following Timur's statements, the yellow-navy club had made an application to the Turkish Football Federation.

In the statement made by Fenerbahçe, it was stated, "Our club has made an application to the Turkish Football Federation regarding the statements made by Galatasaray Sportif A.Ş. Vice President Erden Timur."
