Excitement for the new Champions League format

The 2024-2025 season of the UEFA Champions League begins with the matches to be played today.

 Europe's most prestigious football organization will be followed with great excitement with the participation of 36 teams. The first week's matches will be played on September 17, 18, and 19.

HOW WILL THE NEW FORMAT WORK?

In the new format, where 36 teams will compete, the teams that finish in the top 8 of the league table after 8 matches will advance directly to the round of 16. 

Teams ranked between 9th and 24th will compete in a two-legged knockout system to qualify for the round of 16. Teams finishing outside the top 24 will be eliminated from the competition.

With this new format, the level of competition in the UEFA Champions League will increase even further, and football fans will witness matches full of excitement.
