MATCH POSTPONED
Following calls from some fans, referee Miguel Angel Ortiz Arias stopped the match and directed the medical teams from both the stadium and both clubs to the stands. After it was announced in the stadium that the fan could not be saved despite the doctors' interventions, it was declared that the match had been postponed.

In addition to Granada and Athletic Bilbao, many La Liga clubs published messages of condolence due to the fan's death.
